Our Story
Dogwood Growth Consulting was founded by Cameron McKillop, an operations and growth strategist who believes great businesses are built on clarity, consistency, and people-first operations.
After years of leading cross-functional teams across sales, customer service, marketing, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and IT, Cameron saw a familiar challenge:
Companies rarely fail for lack of ideas — they struggle with alignment and execution.
That realization inspired him to create Dogwood — a partner for organizations ready to scale with structure and confidence.
Before launching Dogwood, Cameron served as Vice President of Operations for a Portland-based manufacturer supporting regulated industries including semiconductor, biotech, and medical device. While in that role he was able to:
Doubled profit margins in 18 months through strategic capability expansion and disciplined execution
Reduced changeover time by 80%, unlocking capacity without additional equipment
Fixed inventory chaos — improving turnover by 50% and accuracy from 10% error to under 1%
Built systems for quality, customer service, and sales that continue driving results today

With an MBA, PMP certification, and deep experience across process improvement and marketing strategy, Cameron brings a rare mix of analytical rigor, creative problem-solving, and empathy to every engagement.
Outside of Dogwood, he serves on the Board of Beacon Village, a Portland nonprofit providing transitional housing and pathways to stability for individuals experiencing homelessness.
